An experience of integration in MERCOSUR’s
agricultural private sector.
The dynamic and complexity of the negotiations on the one
hand, and international trade together with the necessity of
strengthening the capacity of MERCOSUR’s private agricultural
sector to take the lead in the technical and strategic discussions
of the international insertion of Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and
Uruguay on another, lead to the elaboration of a Program of
work, also called “Support of the process of liberalization and integration in international trade”.
Las negociaciones técnicas vinculadas a la Ronda de Doha en Ginebra llevan un ritmo intenso. Actualmente, la valoración general es positiva en cuanto al avance técnico pero dominada por la cautela ante las decisiones políticas de mayor relevancia. Las negociaciones agrícolas dominan hoy la mesa de discusión del “Room-E” donde intervienen sólo 37 países, entre los que se encuentra Uruguay.
